Za’atar Mana’esh

Mana’esh, made with Zaatar slathered on warm flatbread, is a beloved Mediterranean snack enjoyed fresh from neighborhood ovens. We will use Charcuterie Board Sauce- Za’atar flavor to turn simple flatbread into a substantial appetizer.

Za’atar, is a fragrant blend of herbs and spices—primarily thyme, sumac, and sesame seeds. At Apricot Sun we mix the blend made from scratch with extra virgin olive oil to create a savory, aromatic spread: Charcuterie Board Sauce.

The name mana’esh is associated with the marks or impressions pressed into the dough, creating little pockets for the Za’atar and oil to settle into. Simple, flavorful, and meant to be shared, mana’esh is perfect as an appetizer, snack, or even brunch!
